Joseph Randolph was a member of the Inner Temple and was called to the bar in 1892. he was the son of Captain Arthur Randolph Randolph of the 15th Hussars, Eastcourt, Wiltshire (d. 1885). He was born in 1867, he was educated at Radley College and Magdalen College, Oxford where he received his BA in 1890 and his MA in 1894. He became a KC in 1913 and was a County Court Judge from 1921-1936. He was chairman of the Wiltshgire Quarter Sessions in 1924 and a Wilthsire J.P. He died in September 1936. County Court Judge Circuit 36 (Oxfordshire) since 1924, County Court Judge Leeds and Wakefield 1921-1924.
Patrick Phillips was a portrait and landscape painter in oiuls and watercolour, and a teacher. He studied at the Byam Shaw School of drawing and painting under F E Jackson and Glyn Philpot and Charles Shannon, 1926-30. He became principal of the Byam Shaw, 1946-55.
